RANDOM SHOTS OF FUN

Now that we are nearing the end of a month long stay of our daughter Bre and our grandson's Coleman and Caden I can 't help thinking about all the fun we have had. We tried to capture as many memories on film as we could so that they could be shared with Kyle and our family. We feel so lucky to have had this time with all of them.

While the kids were here:

• the boys went through a growth spurt practically eating us out of house and home
• Cole learned to swim and started the beginnings of diving
• Cade loved the pool and started the beginnings of swimming
• both boys played a lot of golf with Papa
• swam at a water park
  
• we played at Bounce Jungle
• fed ducks in the lake
• played on the playground toys
  
• ate ice cream cones and popsicles
  
• got wet in the splash pad
• ate pancakes and sausage every morning
• drove the golf cart
• Cole worked on math and learned to read
• went to Arizona Science Center
• watched lots of cartoons
• went to a rodeo
  
• grandkids peed in the rocks by the pool
• helped Papa make smoothies
• played with Hanna at her house
• went out to eat...lots
• spent a week in Vacation Bible School
• got home haircuts
• crawled in bed with Papa and Gigi every morning
• laughed and made funny faces at the dinner table
• tickled, wrestled, chased
• ate popcorn

and so much more...........................................




























For Frank and I it doesn't get much better then this. How lucky to have kids and grandkids who love us and want to spend so much time with us. A real blessing. I only hope that our grandchildren will remember this special month for years to come.

BINGO!!!

This morning Bre and I dropped the boys off for Vacation Bible School and took our 3 hour reprieve and headed for the stores. One of our stops was Target to pick up a couple things and Bre had me looking through their clothes. Since I didn't think Target carried any clothes that fit my "older" shape I never shop there.
That turned out to be a mistake.
After giving some of their bermuda's a try I found out that they have a couple styles that work for me. But best of all, I came across a great bargain...........and who doesn't love a good bargain?
I found these three pair of bermuda shorts on the sale rack for $4.98 each! BINGO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Target is now on my shopping list!

Here's our grandsons on their way to Bible Camp this morning.
All 500 kids think this Vacation Bible School is a ton of fun. And best of all, they are throwing a carnival with dinner for all the kids and parents on Friday night to celebrate the end of camp.



Meanwhile, back at the ranch....it was haircut time. As you can see by the look on Cole's face this is not his favorite thing to do.

Caden was having such a good time playing.......



.........then we had to go and ruin it by cutting his hair. This is definitely NOT his favorite thing to have done.
Last Saturday we enjoyed a wonderful dinner and drinks at a party at our dear friends, Chuck and Rosie's home. Such gracious hosts and always delicious food and more then enough drinks!

OK, so I may have had a little too much fun.......after finishing off a couple chocolate martini's I thought I still needed a couple of Rosie's delicious strawberry margaritas. Bad idea!

Now that I have had a couple hours to put my feet up and have a little relaxation, I am trying to get motivated for my Zumba class tonight. It's hard since Frank is on the patio BBQ'ing steaks right now, the potatoes are baked and the aroma is to die for. No food for me until after exercise. And to think that the boys voted for hot dogs instead of steak.....oh well, more for the adults.
OK, time to go get this body in shape. Have a nice evening.

OH, HOW I LOVE A COCKER!

Dogs are my favorite animal.
Well, actually, I love almost all animals. But my VERY favorite are dogs. I love the ones with short, soft, silky fur....big sad eyes with long eyelashes........short tails........and lovable personalities. Like cocker spaniels.
Lately I have been into painting dogs. Since I have owned two blonde cocker spaniels I decided to try painting one. This picture is a pretty close resemblance to my sweet "departed" Muffin. Some day I will own another dog. This week my friend Rosie and I joined a local gym and started exercising. We are taking an ABS & BUNS class 3 mornings a week and Zumba one night a week. And then I spent an hour with a personal trainer on Wed. after class. I AM SORE!!!!!! REALLY SORE!!! And I have to work out tomorrow morning. Yikes! Man, that trainer really kicked my butt. I kept reminding him that I was old....but it didn't phase him. No more trainer for me.
Last night I finally finished all 19 canvas that I was working on and 12 more headbands. Jami took them out to the boutiques today. I have a couple special orders to do and then hope to have a break.
We played in the pool today while Bre went for a massage and Frank played golf. Tomorrow Bre and I will take the three grandkids to the Arizona Science Center for the day.
Now it's time to get two little boys to bed. I think I may be close behind them tonight. I'm still trying to get use to having to get up at 5:30 am again for exercise.
