ARE YOU READY??
Do you have your costume together?
Candy bought?
Decorations out?
EEEEEeeeek!!! I hope so!
This is a fun time of year. I love seeing all the pumpkins, skeletons, goblins and ghosts.
The smell of pumpkin spice candles, warm cider and pumpkin pie.
But this 99 degree weather does change the effect of "fall".
A little chill in the air would be nice.
So I sit under the air conditioner vent and sip on a warm
Pumpkin Spice latte and create.
I am really liking this jewelry making. For several months I have stored up tons of cool beads. I was just waiting for the creative bug to click in.......and finally it did! Whenever I go jewelry shopping I have noticed that there are never many pieces in darker blue. So here's what I came up with.
This necklace has a little of everything in it. Some pearls, Swarovski crystals, glass beads, silver wire pieces and lots of wire wrapping.
Jami has arranged to have her family's picture taken in a couple weeks and wanted a new necklace for herself and one for Hanna. We made a quick trip to Beads Galore and I put these together for them .
Tonight I celebrated as I realized I had finally finished making all my baby hats, headbands and hair clips. Hurray!
This morning after church the family all went to Liberty Market for breakfast. We started off with a house specialty called Caffé Corretto. It is made of espresso, raw sugar and grappa.
Grappa is an Italian brandy distilled from the pomace of grapes. Mmmmm, it's really good.
We dunked our bites of Liberty Market's homemade sweet roll in it.
Hanna loves eating here. She always gets a sweet roll and scrambled eggs with cheese.
Sofia just loves to eat! And she thinks eating out at a restaurant is just funny!!!
It's been a good week. Lots of family time, great weather, dinner with friends and attending the ASU/UW football game with Mike and Jami. We are so blessed to be living this awesome life.
We are getting excited to leave on Wednesday to fly up to see our grandsons, daughter and son-in-law. I ran this afternoon for a quick haircut, tomorrow will be nail day and packing. Art Club on Tuesday and then we are off. Yippee!!
Here's wishing all of you a great week. Take your vitamins and wash your hands....keep that flu at bay.
XOXO NANCY

Q. What's it like to be kissed by a vampire? A. It's a pain in the neck.

Hi Nancy ~ Lovely little hats and flowers! I don't have a costume ready, and haven't worn one for years. Witha son all grown up, and we aren't the party type, I seldom get the chance to bring out my inner goblin. Many of my co-workers will dress up for Halloween, and I have thought about finding an old top hat and fancy-ing it up with a bit of tulle and a few spiders.... !
Blessings ~ Eileen @ Star's Fault
I think I'm ready for Halloween but haven't bought the candy yet or I'll eat them :) Your hats are sooo adorable! Have fun visiting with family! Disinfecting is something I should have done more often because I ended up with the flu.
I don't mind pain in the neck as long as it's from a vampire..LOL! I am so into the True Blood series!
Happy fall!
